just for you
THE ROUTE
Welcome to Peru | Arrival in Lima
On arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport, the Machupicchu Glory team welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel in Lima.
Afternoon | Guided tour of the City of Kings
We explore Lima's historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the baroque Convent of San Francisco with its underground catacombs. We continue to the modern seaside districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, with views over the Pacific from the cliff-top Malecón.
Evening | Free time
The evening is free to enjoy Lima's world-famous cuisine before returning to your hotel.
Morning | Flight to the Imperial City
After breakfast, a transfer takes you to the airport for your flight to Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire at 3,399 m. On arrival, our team welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel.
Day | Rest and acclimatization
The day is free to acclimatize gently to the altitude. We recommend resting, drinking coca tea and walking slowly. If you feel well, stroll around the Plaza de Armas, the Qorikancha and the artisan neighborhood of San Blas at your own pace. Overnight in Cusco.
Afternoon | Guided city tour of Cusco
We discover the heart of the Imperial City: the Cathedral on the Plaza de Armas, home to Cusco-school paintings, and the Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, whose polished Inca walls support the Santo Domingo convent.
Continuing | The four nearby ruins
We climb to the archaeological sites above the city: Sacsayhuamán, the colossal ceremonial fortress of interlocking stones; Qenqo, a carved shrine to the earth; Puca Pucara, the red checkpoint fortress; and Tambomachay, the refined temple of water with its fountains and canals. Return to Cusco at sunset. Overnight in Cusco.
Morning | Pisac and its citadel
We descend into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In Pisac we explore the hilltop Inca citadel with its cascading agricultural terraces and hillside tombs, followed by the colorful artisan market.
Midday | Buffet lunch in Urubamba
We recharge with an Andean buffet lunch in the temperate heart of the valley.
Afternoon | Ollantaytambo
We visit the living Inca town and fortress of Ollantaytambo, climbing its terraces to the Temple of the Sun with its colossal monoliths. Overnight in the Sacred Valley or Cusco, ready for Machu Picchu.
Morning | Train to the wonder of the world
We board the panoramic train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, following the Urubamba River through the cloud forest. A bus then climbs the winding Hiram Bingham road to the citadel gate.
Midday | Guided tour of Machu Picchu
Our guide leads a two-hour tour through the three sectors of the citadel: the agricultural terraces, the urban quarter and the sacred precinct — the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Temple of the Three Windows and the main plaza. Free time for photographs from the classic lookout.
Afternoon | Return to Cusco
We descend to Aguas Calientes, take the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Morning | Free time and departure
After breakfast you have free time for last-minute souvenirs in the San Pedro market or a final walk through Cusco's cobbled streets. At the agreed time, the Machupicchu Glory team transfers you to the airport for your departure flight, closing an unforgettable journey through the soul of Peru.

TRAVELER STORIES
“Every detail felt considered before we even asked — the private train car, the guide who knew we loved photography and timed our arrival for the light. This is how Machu Picchu should be seen.”
“No crowds, no rush — just the two of us and nine hundred years of stone in the morning mist. Worth every mile.”
