OUR STORY

We don't guide tourists. We welcome family.

For more than fifteen years, our Cusco-born team has opened its trails, tables and traditions to travelers who become, quite simply, part of ours.

THE BEGINNING

How it all began

Machu Picchu Glory began in 2009 with a single guide, a single Jeep, and a promise: to show the Andes the way Valentín Quispe's own family had always known them — unhurried, personal, and full of reverence for the mountains.

What started as one man leading friends-of-friends up the Salkantay trail has grown, slowly and by word of mouth, into a boutique house of private journeys — still small enough that Valentín reviews every itinerary himself, still local enough that half our guides are cousins.

Stefany Peña

CEO & FOUNDER

Born and raised in Cusco, Stefany studied Tourism at San Antonio Abad University. After a hospitality internship in the United States, she spent years as a travel advisor and as a Guest Services Officer aboard Royal Caribbean. All that experience brought her back home to share her Peru — and her most cherished memories — with every traveler.

Darcy Peña

ADMINISTRATOR · MSC IN PSYCHOLOGY

A psychologist by training, photographer and devoted listener. He is fascinated by the human soul and the stories held in stone; he has wandered Paris, Rome and Venice, yet none spoke to him with the tenderness of Cusco — his home and his centre. To him, every traveler is not a client but a story with a backpack and quiet spaces, welcomed from the very first moment like an old friend.
